Got an email from Jason today.  They will be done, but they are at least two years out.   ;D

I was at the Copetown train show today, and I did not talk to Rapido about anything in N, since that's not really my area, they had a sample of their HO LRC and FP9 models just crawling back and forth at their table there. Looks like they've definately got their drives figured out. They had an upgraded Turbo too which ran quite nicely.

I run the Copetown Train Show, so when Jason arrived this morning I asked him about the N Scale Turbo.  His response was "We are fully committed right now to the completion of the Canadian in HO, however the N Scale Turbo will be done after that, probably for delivery sometime in 2011".

That's cool. It's great to see them investing in the scale, also, nice to hear from you John.

The welders wearing lab coats...
The hostesses being "young and exciting" (despite the visual!)
The music making me want to jump up and do the froog...
The psychedelic bit in part three is hilarious...

SUPER CHEESE! The train parts are cool but the 'hip' stuff is rather lame  :P

I love the aerial sequences along the lake. That is Lake Ontario at the mouth of Highland Creek where the guys and I used to partake in our weekend ritual... which largely consisted of consuming alcohol. We'd cut across the vacant Johns Manville property to get to the tracks then follow them down to the beach. Many fuzzy memories from that stretch of the Kingston Sub, though none involved the Turbo... but the LRC was a welcomed substitute. The Johns Manville plant site, where I'd watch SW1200RS's, GS413's, GP9RM's and the odd GMD1 switch the plant in the late 80's and early 90's, is now a very large subdivision... hope they like asbestos  :-X

Speaking of the LRC, if Rapido follows the emerging pattern, I fear an LRC will be inevitable in N. I say fear because that could get expensive!

It's good to be back Ed, I have had an extremely busy year and my N scale layout has taken a back seat.  I am getting back to it now so I hope to be more active in the coming months.
