I don't know how well known this company is, but I'm fortunate enough to see there videos everyday at 2:00 and since they do some '80s Conrail, I thought I'd pass it along.

I can't speak for the quality because what they show on the TV is pretty low.  I would assume that the actual tape is much better.

It's not surprising. I consider the period from the 80s-2008ish to be the "lost" era of video. Notice how it coincides with the VHS camera.

This is because, before that, everything was film which had a really high resolution if properly digitized, and after that we've had HD and digital video, but during that time there was the proliferation of crappy VHS cameras that recorded video at a poor resolution that can NEVER be improved on.

IIRC, there is video of CR GP-15s on Horseshoe Curve and also Switchers mixed in with locomotive consists.

Let's just say I even found some of the CR stuff interesting and I couldn't care less about anything east of Chicago. But I really have no idea about what's already out there in regards to CR.
