One more for you Dave.  Notice the FP-7 in the consist.  This was taken a few months before they were all gone.

Love that RF&P Bob.

I spent a couple hours at JC Cabin in Charlottesville VA last Tuesday. No trains on the ex C&O tracks, but there were two NS freights.

Thank you, Bob and Caleb.  I feel like this Thursday Proto Photo is almost solely for my benefit, since you have posted pictures of RF&P and ex-C&O (crossing the former Southern Ry. tracks in Charlottesville) rails in Virginia.  As you know, these are some of my preferred locales of some of my favorite railroads.

Keeping with a somewhat RF&P theme, this is a CSX former RF&P car I caught
about 3-4 years ago. The ampersand is barely visible on the 3rd panel to the left of
the door, & the "R" "F" "P" are even less so, but if you know the cars, you can just
barely make them out.

Here is one for Dave Foxx. Judging by the pictures, it looks like this ol' girl possibly came out of the VA DOT Museum in Roanoke and is being cut into a train to be taken elsewhere. Robbman, do you know?

Charlottesville VA. Looks like there going to be replacing the crossing in the background, where the Buckingham Branch RR crosses the NS.

Its headed up to Clifton forge VA. The unit is on loan to the C&O Historical Society for 5 years where it will be given a fresh coat of paint. Huzzah!
