I'm trying to set up B&M, MEC style triple target searchlight CTC signals using a SE8C and I am not having any luck finding out how to do this. Anyone have any suggestions or links? Or maybe even another LocoNet compatible product that can do it?

Ok, so then each signal will take up 9 outputs on the SE8c of the 32 that are available .. just consider that each output is an on-off switch.

Suggest you start here

http://rr-cirkits.com/Clinics/Clinics.html

then look at this

http://home.comcast.net/~kb0oys/

I think they will help you do what you want .. I havent set my SE8 up yet .. so you are breaking ground ...

Also, I would join the digitrax and jmri lists on yahoo, as well as the CATS list ..

I was able to find an answer from another list since the SE8C instructions are horrid. They only quickly touch on singaling for switch indications and nothing else.

Paul on RR&Co was able to explain how you set up the up to 4 heads per ribbon cable. I just need to set up the signal as top HG/HY/HR , middle as LG/LM/LR, and lower as Reverse HG/HY/HR. Now I just need to define the logic in the software so that if a head is not displaying green or yellow that it displays red by default.
