and I will ignore the Cab Forward because the layout is "somehow eastern"  (PRR,  NH, N&W and others).

what?  huh?  ??? ;D

I mean MY layout in my basement is based on eastern roads, not the layout of the cab forward   :o
Actually the layout is also used by my German trains   ::)

Well there have been a few too many delays with this model for my taste.  Also reading about the First run in HO was disappointing.  They seemed to have most of the bugs worked out byt the time the second release but??
Also the SD45-2 was another Intermountain failure; Truck problems, side rails not installed correctly, SD40's Tunnel motors from what I read weren't any better.
So with all of those issues against them.  I think i'll wait for the second run. If then  ;)
