Potential ESM part, roofwalk supports

I need some roofwalk supports for one of the projects.  This design is similar to the Plano HO version, with a fold line to simulate the prototypical supports.  But they are a pain to bend in N scale, and I don't think it is necessary.  This is a photo of the pilot etch.  I'm going to revise the artwork to remove everything above the fold and just have the main support, as the brass stock is thick enough as is to represent the supports.  When the time comes, I'll etch a small overage for those interested.

Good call, Bryan -- nothing worse that trying to bend microscopic PE!  Those would look really good on some 40-footers in the 70s after having the roofwalks removed.

I could've used these a few years back when I did my NE6. I removed the roofwalk but it still had all the supports. I faked em with some bronze, but I'd probably redo it with these available.

I've got some projects that could use them.  Count me down!

I could use them, too.  As a basis for Gold Medal Models roofwalks.  Or for the JnJ Milwaukee cars that still have to build, though I have most of the FVM cars already.

Gluing PE on edge , without noticeable fillets , strong enough to withstand the inevitable mishandling is asking far more than the glues I work with . Nice item , but too delicate for my models .
