The Bachmann 44 Tonner!

This weekend I put a ton of miles on it at the BANTRAK B&O museum show.

It was a real attention getter, and it ran flawlessly with whatever I threw at it.

8+ covered hoppers? No problem.

5 or 6 TOFC flats? No problem.

Sitting there looking pretty? No problem.

Seriously, this thing is great. I feel like it shows us what is really possible in N.

Nah, it's still PRR 9337.

I think it might end up getting done up for the Stewartstown.

No video or pics from today, but I have shot this before:

You must have run this after I left.  Gotta admit that the 44 tonner is a great little engine.  Got the same PRR one and use it on a work train but sometimes just throw on cars to see how many it will pull.

P.S. - How was the bacon chocolate bar?

Yes this locomotive also gets my vote for product of the year, one that N Scalers have waited for for along time. I ran both of mine as a pair and singly at the Wasatch Division N.M.R.A. Show in November with medium leingth and short trains and they just ran wonderfully for several hours. Then I ran one on my layout with a short passenger train (4 cars) for about two weeks. Best feature is if I do convert to DCC from wireless Radio DC they are good to go straight out of the box. Bachmann has come along ways they are not Bachperson any more in my book. Nate Goodman (Nato).
