The other thing that is cool about the plan is that you can use a single sheet of plywood to cut the road bed. My book includes a cutting diagram.
On the top, there's a spur off the passing siding. What's the purpose of this track?
Likewise, I don't understand the purpose of the siding that runs beside Pelton Road at the end of the yard. I thought it might be a drill lead, but it is positioned wrong for that.
And speaking of a drill lead - might want to think about adding one.
regarding the river, the scenic elements are artistic impressions, the final scenery may or may not resemble what is drawn.

You should try to fit in that over pass with the stair well down to the station.
