Dave

For a minute I thought you were building it on a bed.

I've gotten more done this past week then in the past year.  Nice having time to do things.  I've rearranged some track, doing an inventory on what type of cars I have (slow and tedious work), finally managed to master the art of consisting locos in DCC.  Trying to do some more lighting in my train room.

And whats the earliest date for that rig ?
Not sure Richie, I remember seeing these in the 70's, but I don't know if they were new to the market, or had been around for awhile.

Thanks Phil.

I added another steamer to my B&M stable.  Detailing this one wasn't as extensive as on the Mogul I did last week.  Here, I just added air hoses to the pilot, moved the bell to a more B&M-ish location, painted it grimy black, and, after decaling, gave it several washes of thinned grimy black to weather the lettering.

Here' another project I started.  It's a Swywave 1/700 crane which I plan to do some modifications on.  Add a proper ladder, wires, and make a clam bucket.  Going to do a small rail/truck to barge facility.

The barge is shown in the front (don't remember what scale but fits my needs perfectly.  I've also used some of their shipyard/industrial building to modify building on my old layout.  Might be of some use to you Z scalers out there.

I went to the "O"ther side...bought the Lionel Polar Express train to put under our Christmas tree this year.  Of course I had to make sure it operates before we get a tree so set it up Friday night and can't keep my 3 1/2 year old daughter away from it.  I have four daughters and finally one that loves trains! :)

Well, not to get all normal about this, but it didn't start out as a challenge. It just kind of mutated into one. I guess no one ever thought to move it someplace more appropriate.

Lost a little modeling time thanks to the Nor'easter that resulted from Hurricane Ida.  She spent several days toward the end of last week, and we finally saw the sun today for the first time in about a week.

The river was pretty angry about the whole thing...

Model shots later...

Crap comes in 3's.......................

Just got finished with the funeral of my best friend's wife when two more close mates decided to "shuffle off"........neither expected........

No modeling....

November has sucked......................
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

doing coins all weekend - looked at the layout area tonight and thinking what i need to do to get going again in there.  might stay with the duck unders but make them removable.  not sure if it's worth the hassle.  the loops eat real estate something fierce.

i'll keep y'all posted.

How long will it be before they show us how to add DCC to a tree?
