While this is certainly subjective, I think these locomotives, at a minimum, beat the hell out of the looks of GE P40s and P42s, and they don't look so bad paired back to back as in Bob's photo above.  While I would prefer an F40PH (which these locos seem to resemble but with a nose job), these locomotives do at least have a "passenger unit" look to them that the MARC GP40WH-2 somewhat lacks.

It's the old Western Maryland Railway billboard sign, still visible after all these years at Fulton Jct.  There's two boxcars in speed lettering on the sign board, facing the PRR tracks of the NEC right before plunging into Union Tunnel.  It's virtually inaccessible by car, and the neighborhood is way to sketchy to park and walk.

There's a good color image of it from back in the day in the George Leilich book from Morning Sun books, I want to scan it and size it so I can have a copy on the layout somewhere.

next time i have a state SUV, i'll head over there, it's not too far from our office up there.  i can drive damn near anywhere with it - the local fauna retreat at the sight of the white suv with the dark windows, state plates, and antennas!
