Amen to that, brother!

Thanks to Ed (when he was slumming at MBK) everything you see here set me back about $20...

Lee

Does that include the nails used as track bumpers/car stops?  Or did you splurge for those?

Well, I did go the extra mile and paint them black!  It should also be noted that they work!

So does the wall that's behind my refinery, but I've added realistic bumpers none the less.  ::)

In Lee's defense, the nails work just fine. I've run up into them at high speed several times now, and they never give.

Jeez, is the brickwork that big? It looks like red cinder blocks with eroding mortar.

Best modular system I've found so far is a pile of cheap Model Power kits (the old Pola line). Just go at 'em with a knife and have fun.

Yes!
I love those things!!

They're a tad oversize, but they've never looked (to me at least) outrageous. Even that close.

My old boss at the USACE used to drive me nuts.  A kitchen counter would be out of square by 5 degrees, but he would pass it because the big blob of caulking made it "Functional"....   ::)

Yes, they do - for military construction, at least.  One o fthese days I'll regale you with tales of some of my USACE days in Seattle - all I can say is gotta love civil engineers (mostly because as a civilian I wasn't allowed a side arm)!

We were doing the replacement base housing at Dover AFB.  They went through 7 QA's before I got there.  Most of them were usually inspecting beach replenishment or bridge jobs.  You could tell when you saw some of the "El Framo" that was approved... ::)
