Sergent Engineering bulk pack kits

Sergent has a great price on their coupler kits now - 144 for $87.  So, how hard are they to assemble?  I don't even see how the assembled ones fit together. :)

They're actually fairly easy to assemble. I did a few while I was tinkering in HO a while back.

I would agree!

My only bit of advice about assembling them is to be careful about the ball bearing. It's really tiny and it tends to get away from you easily. Having a magnet handy helps.

Little filing, load the ball, drop of superglue, and assemble.  Not much to it.

I've not assembled any but have experimented with using them on a couple of Blue Box Models.
I like the look and function between the two cars. I did mount them and found that to be straight forward
Sure was nice to read about the price break.  Makes them more affordable.

Also the Plastic Dummies they sell help prior to changing an entire train over.
They don't function well with the Athearn Knuckle Couplers. Must try with the Atlas and Bowser cars.
But I would like to change a Train worth over. they look great

I've been thinking of ordering a bulk pack and an assembly jig myself.  I'd love ot stock up and equip a third of my fleet...

Great  couplers sure look alot better than any of the others, never assembled any but have installed on two Blue Box cars they work great together, but they don't work with Atlas or Athearn.  Haven't attempted as yet with Kadee.
Glad to hear about the price break might be worth a further look.  You Tube has some videos put out by them you can check out.
