Still in the "heavy construction phase" of my NTrak module set. Trying to finish up storage/traveling rack for the two 4' modules. Orange/Red lines pushed to the front. Yellow/Blue pushed to the back under Mountain (Green Line) Division. I wanted to get away from the ramrod straightaways at our train shows, and add some switching interest. Hoping to have a freelance chemical company (Rockin' Toxin') accessed from Yellow line.

Modules use rail butt-joints at center joint, Peco code 55 track and handlaid #8 turnouts (FastTrack fixtures) on the mainlines. Yeh, yeh, I know.. handlaid trackwork not allowed on NTrak modules. I got the OK from our club, so I know they will be used in our layouts (once they pass the test-run), with the possiblitly that I can't use them in multi-club meets. Thats OK by me. Access doors in the skyboards to get to Yellow/Blue lines under Mountain Division.

Not much to report--it's been a fairly hectic week.

Temporarily placed a mirror at the back of the layout for evaluation (a road bridge would hide the top edge).



Added a fence to the top of the retaining wall at the end of the station parking lot.



Also got some scenery started around the retaining walls.

Know the feeling well. The first home I owned, I had to remodel the whole house before I could touch the basement. Five years it took. Then, two years after finally getting the basement ready and starting the layout, I had to move.

I like the mirror idea, but, in this case, I recommend changing the angle at a minimum.  It seems to me that if it is installed as presently placed, you're going to see two identical trains diverging from or converging into the tunnel simultaneously, one with its lettering clearly reversed.  That, to me, will be distracting and realism would suffer.  Otherwise, as always, your modeling is incredible.

Are those receptacles child proof?  New code says you gotta have 'em.
