Isn't Craig doing that car??  Tooler of ExactRail cars = Tooler of Tangent cars; Craig announced collaboration with Tangent!  OMG!

Our car has nothing to do with the Exact Rail version, and I think that will be apparent when both are released and compared.  Furthermore, our collaboration with Tangent was nothing more than sharing the paint scheme information and builder blue-prints; all engineering and tooling was executed by the BLMA team.

Don't go assuming tooooo much.....   ;)

So you tooled up a high quality model for yourself and a crappy one for them? What other shenanigans are you pulling!?

This photo shows a CR car in the same number series, but it looks rather different from the model. Not close enough for me.

What part of Chris likes the SP didn't you understand?  When you have the ability to cut your own tooling, why wouldn't you mix in a few oddballs with the standard multi-RR fare?

Can't quibble with that, but this (from their blog) makes me wonder:

Accurately decorated in Southern Pacific as well as classic period-era Heritage Decoration schemes, these classics are sure to please modelers from all corners of the hobby.

Now I'm all for keeping heritage alive, but since when does a 3 road number set of ICG gons (in a style that ICG never owned) constitute Heritage?  If you want to foobie - fine by me.  That's how i get a lot of KCS and ICG rolling stock.  But let's foobe honestly, shall  we? :-\

BTW, the scheme with the placards is wrong for the late look of these cars...

Maybe they think they're the Caddyshack of model railroading!

I agree and will probably pick up one SP car... it's in my era. Could the Exactrail car not be used as a good starting point to bash that Conrail gon?
