I am hoping for the Greenville car in N as well, however I get the feeling we wont see it.

Actually on the gons, Has anyone seen an actual picture of the ExRail car.  Not the prototype photo's but the word from them. If somebody has please post it. No offense, but the proto photo's posted do not confirm what car it is.

I just looked at my SP Freight Cars Today by Casdorph - and the only 2420's are 42 foot cars built by Gunderson in 1978.

Regarding the Gon, the picture of the model is right on the add in the new NSR.  It matches the number series and appearance of the prototype picture that I linked to.

I think so, but based on the ER PCF boxcar, I think if they did one I'd be selling my MTL cars. Could also be a nice car for Bluford to do...

Yes, the MT car is a match for the Greenville boxcar. I'm looking @ a NW one right now (which is for sale!) and it's spot on. MT did a rib-side version too (I have in CR paint, for sale as well). Email MT and ask them to do whatever paint jobs you want (or better send a PM to Shipsure, who works @ MT), but don't wish for another company to make the same car. Let them concentrate on NEW body styles.

Let's please not promote more duplication.

Tooling wears out from time to time ... maybe MTL can take the "selective compression" out of the body the next time the tooling is redone.  Otherwise, the door remains open for a Greenville car done more accurately to the prototype that sits at the proper height over the rail.
