Sounds like a typo. Should be reversed... c80, fatter ties and taller rail... not sure if that totals out to 1/4" though...Lee
The Code 55 and Code 80 versions have different floors. We had to make it so that the Code 80 version works with our bridge piers. So that design is almost identical to the HO 18" Through Truss Bridge. The Code 55 version follows the prototype more closely. Hopefully I'll have actual photos to show off in a couple of weeks.Cory RothlisbergerProduct DevelopmentAtlas Model R.R. Co.
I think if anything, I'll be able to utilize this bridge in a couple of spots for highway travel. I'd be interested to know the interior width of the bridge if someone has found those figures. I have not been on the A Board to see if they list them.
Skibbe said...Based on the gauge of the track being about 1/3 the overall interior width... 27mm ± a skosh So...that's less than 15' wide. Hardly enough room for two lane rural highway travel, even in the fifties. I'll have to look at one when they hit the shelves to evaluate more closely I guess.
