I can't see why anyone would have a use for one for that matter.  They're buried deep in the bowels of pit mines.  I can't imagine anyone's blowing a few hundred square feet of value modeling real estate to model an N-scale pit mine on their layout.

IIRC, TWH Collectibles owns the exclusive rights to commercially produce any/all Bucyrus and Manitowoc models. They regularly do searches for others selling these brands.

My apologies Chulvis, I am obviously new at this forum thing.

Highland Precision Scale Models, a newly formed LLC, was founded by Matt Highland.  My background is in sales and manufacturing.  I have been an avid N-Scale enthusiast since 1993, modeling the KCS Pittsburg Subdivision (Kansas City).  The inception of Highland Precision Scale Models is the result of frustration on the modeling side with the unfulfilled needs in the n-scale marketplace for certain product and the realization that opportunities exist for entrepreneurs.

The first product offering, the Bucyrus 495 electric mining shovel will be a highly detailed, fully assembled model incorporating die cast, photoetching, multi material parts.  If all goes well, there are two other offerings in the pipeline which will be announced Nov/Dec of this year.

The news that it's an assembled model certainly moves it down a few notches on my 'must-buy' list; and I would imagine that of most others here, but lets face it, we're not the majority of the market either.  Regardless, I'll still be interested to see what it looks like.  So, for what it's worth, a kit option would be welcome, but I do understand the limitations of offering such an option in many cases.

It's great that you have developed an "official" relationship with Bucyrus...  Perhaps a model of their wreck crane would be a nice future project...  I've got one of those Bachmann cranes as a stand in, but it would be nice to have something more "right"....
