Yes, Ed. The shadow box is 11x2.5x15 inches. I wanted to  build a layout to I can take to local shows, and it will run on a 9volt battery. Most of modelers down here have never seen a z scale layout. Because of its small size, all I can run on it are four axle engines and forty foot cars.

Lee, a nice job on an ancient model. Is there anyone else out there who feels a need for an improved version of this type of single sheathed car? This is one of the most common car types from the steam era and would be a great addition. In the late 60's to early 70s these things were still kicking around as Hide Cars, MOW, camp cars, etc. The Atlas and MTL cars are nice but nobody is doing this version with 6 panels per side.

I didn't get much done at all this past "week" as I've been working 70hrs a week the last two weeks...that and I was waiting for an order of track to come in (I seem to go through track like crazy with this layout!)

Sooo...got the track in and laid another 63' of track. Most of it was 3 track main line, and about 10' of 4 track main line at the junction where the Amoskeag Line and the Northern Line come together by Freudenberg-NOK. I also got the main lead down for Freudenberg-NOK, and the 3 track crossover the main line to the Freudenberg-NOK scrap metal building.

Put in 3 more UP-5's.

Was running RADAR surfing the Railwire when I got a lovely 90MHP on the display...thought it was gonna be Skibbie coming up for some fun, but it turned out to be someone with real money in an X5. Here's your bracelets and paperwork for your 40 over.  :P

I did get the wood cut for the new helix .. and glued it up.

Saturday I went to Pittsburgh, watched Navy vs Pitt in football ..

Sunday, I watched Ravens beat the Bolts ..

John, do you go to any of Navy's home games or were going as being a Pitt alum/fan?
