bought a 2nd L&HR Alco C-420 and the remainder of the turnouts for the staging yard.  once the swelling from a bee sting on my hand goes away, i can start putting track down in the staging yard.

Getting back on my feet after a week of illness.  Work continues on mastering the art of handlaying track - here are some Fast Tracks Quicksticks glued down to my test module:

Great looking FMs. How do these pull? I just got a couple of these the other day and don't have a place to run them yet. I am glad that Atlas did these, even though they aren't completely accurate Milw versions.

Just about finished with a casting I made for Milwaukee Road RPO's #2154-2161. (still need to add the mail hooks) This particular one #2155 was also named "Carl F Rank" after a retired Milwaukee Manager of Mail and Express.

The FM's pull ok.  Not like a kato, but better than my VO-1000's.  I'd say they are similar to the current run of GP-7/9's.  On level track, each one can pull about 15-20 cars (all with Fox Valley low profile wheels).

They actually pull better after I weather them.  Get just a little gunk on the wheels and they tend to dig in better.

Now all we need is a drop in FM sound chip.

You are correct about the body not being 100% accurate.  The sides of the cab should not have the flare at the bottom, the headlight casing is wrong, and the markers are in the wrong spots.  I'll take it, however.  If we can get someone to do a baby trainmaster, I could die a happy man.

I finally finished this for a fellow modeler.  Took awhile as school kept getting in the way, but the Labor Day weekend has given me some time to get back at it.

Since MRL does not have SD90MAC's I had to mask the stripes on the nose because decals don't exist for that big a nose....
