some info from Trainworx:

The paint on the B&O car and the print on the Santa Fe car had some flaws that we found to be unacceptable so you will find that these cars will not be included in your shipments.  These cars will be re-done one way or another and your orders will be filled.

Gotta give Trainworx credit for not shipping out sub-par product.

If it was IM, I bet they would have shipped and seen how many come back and maybe then own up to it.

I have both the B&O and the C&O 2 pak sets. Both have great printing and paint, the only problem was a drooping coupler fixed by giving the swing arm bar screws a couple of twists.

That's a pretty mean statement, but you had the guts to say it. I was just thinking it ;D

I did't think it was mean, just factual, sorry to say. :(

I was just joking, and I totally agree with you. I'm sick and tired of "some" manufacturers releasing bad stuff, and then waiting for the uproar to "make it good" (eventually)

The Trainworx cars look Great.

Included are instructions on how to:
1) Lower the ride height if you have larger radius curves.
2) custom body mount the Micro-Trains couplers, the Hole in underframe is already existing - this is neat......

I have an undec that I am custom painting.

Has anybody else found these cars to be disappointing, especially in the paint-quality department?

0 of my 3 are 100%. One of my Conrail's has some scuffing around the CRQ logo, the other Conrail has what appear to be glue blob droplets around the wire ladders, and has the paint already completely worn off the grab irons on one end of the car. Both of the Conrail's have paint separation issues around the white excess-height bands, especially along the bottom of the band on the end of the car. While this can be prototypical to a degree, this looks more like excess overspray or poor masking. The Conrail ones also lack the yellow "excess height" warning sencils, as well as a car class...these were BG84As...

My CSX one is ok, but has some whonks in the paint, as if the car was sprayed without being clean and free of hair/fuzzies...

I'm amazed that all these people already have them.

They just popped up on the MBK site today.

Took a while, but found out that I had ordered them from BLW way back in October.  Still haven't seen 'em yet, but since MBK just got theirs I guess I shouldn't be concerned at all.

Yes , the Undecs should be on site soon.

ww.nscaleintermodalstore.net

We sold out of our first shipment, and have another coming from a different distributor. Trainworx acknowledged some  print/paint issues and rejected the Santa Fe and Chessie System cars from the Factory - so those roadnames are delayed. MOST- of the other roadnames seem to be OK, but we are trying to check them.
