https://featherrivertrains.com/

It's still open from all visual inspection.

I just re-registered.  That doesn't prove anything though.

Chuck is still in business. He has closed his physical store, though, and is now solely an e-tailer. His webpage is http://featherrivertrains.com/

So no Athearn or ScaleTrains for him now?

According to him, the last time I called, which was a month or more ago, his brick-and-mortar store is closed.  A bigger problem is that, because the store closed. Horizon Hobbies refused to distribute to him, so he can't get Athearn.  Even worse, all of the OTHER reservations he had through Horizon were also cancelled, as they will not do business, of any kind, with an online-only dealer.

On the other hand, I didn't have any problem calling him, and he was quite willing to talk.  What may have happened since I have no idea.

I don’t think he ever carried Scaletrains because of their sales model.

Good to hear he is still in business as I have ordered from him numerous times, and always received good service.  My link to his website died a while ago and I presumed that he had closed shop.  Thank you for the new link.

I didn't know if he was one of the "chosen" for Scaletrains or not.  But I know if he doesn't have a B&M store he's out of luck same as with Horizon Hobbies/Athearn.

As a joke I onc wrote “please draw a rhinoceros on the box” in the special instructions. Chuck draws an excellent rhinoceros.

Does he have a lot of stuff that’s is not listed on his website?  There is very little actually listed on his website to buy now or pre order.

And he doesn't list May MT releases, nor is he returning calls or picking up... I hope all's well there.

Otto,

Try giving a call tomorrow (Monday) between 10am and 2pm PDT.  Who knows, they may just be gone for a few days. I know he is planning to be at the N Scale Convention in Salt Lake next month, but have to admit, haven’t seen or spoken with him in about 6 weeks.
