 My latest caboose project is of a small Nor. Cal. logging road the McCloud River RR. Caboose #31 was a X-GN 25' wood caboose. The McR would obtain a number of these. From the town of Mccloud, the rails went east and west, connecting to the Southern Pacific in Mt. Shasta City and the Western Pacific near Burney. Freight operations have ceased, but there is still the McCloud River Dinner Train.
   This caboose was 'bashed' from a LL standard caboose. Windows were redone and the cupola widened. The caboose was scribbed into a wood caboose. End Rails are from Gold Medal.

Somewhere in my project queue is an SD38 or -2 and one of their International style shorty cabooses.

Nice work.  Love the McCloud area and go down there as often as possible (1 1/2 hr drive)  Lots to see for the rail fan parked on sidings...most of it broken down, but some interesting stuff none the less.
