Sneak Peek - New Steel Mill Book

The steel mill book manuscript went out the door yesterday. Here is a sneak peek at a photo of the completed N Scale blast furnace that is a demonstration model for the book.
The book should be available for sale in 2010. I'll be taking advanced orders in a few months once I know the publication date.

There I fixed it. Bernie, I added it to my Picasa and linked it. Having in the MRCast forums required you to log in and thus it couldn't be remotely linked.

That is ONE HOT shot!
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1

Thanks. I did not realize that as it showed up on my both 'puters (PC and Mac).

Looks great! Who makes the power line towers, or are those in a backdrop photo? ;)

You mean you can't tell?  ;)

It's part of the background. The diorama is only about 2 by 2 feet. The blast furnace takes up most of the space. I am planning on expanding the scene to include a second BF, coke works, and other goodies, but haven't decided yet on the exact plan. The expanded scene will not be in the book, but may be part of an article or something.

Modeling steel in N Scale is really great because you can do the subject justice without needing to selectively compress much.
