Wow, BLI/PCM...who better to produce a non-vertisement: a company that's been raked over the coals for vaporware.

You know, I think I'm going to do other things than worry about this for a few days. I think this is a record - even for me - to be irritated about almost every aspect of a model - before it's even announced. 

Kato and Atlas have us so spoiled with their stuff that anything else is going to have an incredibly high bar to pass over... 

I wish whoever it is luck, because I still think this is a natural for Kato to do at some point.

My thought is that since the way this is advertised is different, that it may be a new manufacturer or one that hasn't done a loco before.  It appears that being mysterious is a good marketing tool.  We're all talking about it.

Well, Charlie is VERY knowing of BLI/PCM inner workings.

Would make sense of BLI of get the hype going BEFORE telling everyone that it is indeed them. That way, they can set the hook in the buyers mouth as they ask for reservation payments.

Don't think PWRS would be doing these, they can not get an exclusive for the color schemes.

If GEVO (all caps) is an acronym or abbreviation (General Electric eVOlution series?) then it is correct to use an apostrophe for the plural, so that it's not confused with another possible abbreviation or acronym such as GEVOS. Having said that, I must also say that I find the use of apostrophes for ordinary plurals (e.g. photo's, loco's, etc) annoying, let alone using an apostrophe for the possessive form of "it"--"its" is correct, "it's" means "it is."

But that's just I (or "just me," as people say), and I put trainphone antennas on my Pennsy cab units, so I guess that makes me a member of the nit-pickers league.

Think about it...  it must be BLI.  Would Atlas, Kato or Athearn incorporate "groundbreaking" features?  What would they be?  Sound of some kind?

All three are capable of groundbreaking features. If it is PCM/BLI it will be quite qwhile before you see it and when you do, you will pay about 15-20% more than you would for Atlas, Kato and Athearn for not a giant leap in quality.
