Have been working on my underpass. We have a very fine black sand on some beaches. A slurry of this sand with water/glue makes terrific and quick paved roads.

Two crappy pictures I know,first one is an ATLAS SD60M ,second is a KATO SD70MAC both of them fresh from the GVR paintshops

I have one more SD70MAC but it's not quite finished yet.

Wyatt, great job getting the layout running good.  I have to admit it was nice to see trains running on (mostly) finished scenery.

It was also good to see your layout yesterday.  No offense to your Thornton layout, but to me it seems you "got it right(er)" this time...it seems to flow better or something.  Wide aisles, no duckunders, Atlas C55, etc. etc.  Of course I like the whole helix/staging concept as well.  Can't wait to see more progress!

I started on a Horribly Over sized project after my drain fought against my airbrush parts... Ooops.
Its an Athearn unit that will eventually become Lamoille Valley 7803 (which still exists today somewhere...)

I've been mostly Multi-Media Model Railroading this weekend...  First, I finished installing some decoders for a guy, so a couple of nice Life Like E-7's made the rounds of the Connellsville Sub...



I also downloaded GIMP, a free download photo shop program, and started messing around with some of my steam images...  Even the really good pictures look like something is missing, now I can fix that!


And finally, after putting decoders into a handful of Life Like SW switchers, I had the sudden urge to dig out the slide whistle...

I see you converted the valve gear to a single slider. Must have been fun.

Thanks Chris....

 ;D ;D ;D I was hoping someone would notice the pics are not that great but I was still hoping.I have been dying to get my hands on the GS4 valve gear to give this a try I think it came out quite well and now to me looks alot more prototypical than the orginal valve gear that just drove me nuts.
Now I have three more to do they should be alot easier now that I know what I am doing.
And believe it our not it is not that difficult to do the hardest thing is you have to recrimp the eccentric from the Mikado onto the GS4 rod and assembly I founs you have to dissasemble it just right so you can recrimp it.But other than that you need to drill two hole per side clearance alittle and you are good to go ::) ;D
