I just found this by accident, & remembered this topic:

I was perusing some info on this beer, as it was a major sponsor of Alan Freed's
Moondog radio show in Cleveland, probably 1 of the 1st rock & roll radio programs.
This appears to be a recent photo (taken on the east side of Cleveland,) & the
company that made it, Standard Brewing Co. of Cleveland, was swallowed up by
Schaefer in the early 60's. still in decent shape!

(PS-interesting to note, my Dad listened to Alan here locally when he was in his
prime in the early 50's, but doesn't recall drinking the brew!)
