differences between GP35 Phase 1a and Phase 1b... ?

I did order some shells from Atlas to model BLMR engines, GP35 Phase 1a and Phase 1b and I can't see any difference beside that one must be an old Kato shell and the other a new Atlas one (color of the plastic) same doors, same fans, same exhaust, everything looks the same to me... what should be different ? thank you...

edit: phase 1a and phase 1b and not phase 2   ;D

Simply put, Atlas hasn't made a Phase 2 yet.

For the Atlas N scale models... it's the number of doors with latches on the engine compartment...

But at least 15 are possible... As delivered 500 series numbering, 3500 series numbering in black, and Circus...


I have four out of 5...  3577 must be working the east sub...
