Two Questions

1.  I received the Walther's catelog yesterday.  They have photos of their new baggage cars.  Only differences are 1, 2, or 3 windows on the doors.  My question - what is this car based on and who actually used it.  Would like to get one but do want a prototype car that any RR used.

2.  I have painted and decaled a brass Reading Northeastern caboose.  I painted it in the older red scheme.  Question - Now that I've painted it was wondering what the roofs were painted black, red?.  I've checked out my various photos and references books and checked around the net but cannot find a decent overhead photo.  Some look like they have black roofs and others look all red.  Any help would be appreciated.

I asked this a couple months ago... the Reading caboose roof should be "roof brown"... I guess it's more of a brown than the red body color.  I think they may have one painted in this scheme in the collection at Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, but I don't have a picture of it.

It's based on a Pullman Standard Streamlined Baggage car. Several roads operated the car, but even though C&O ordered the car, it never ran on the C&O proper, some may have operated on the Pere Marquettes, but most were sold off to other roads without ever running on the C&O

The smoothside baggage was CGW, then sold to GN, so it is correct for those two roads.

The corrugated version I thought was Pere Marquette.
