WOT Busses have arrived

Very nice.  Now they have to do that public service puke green two tone of the Baltimore Transit.  I remember riding on one of them in the early 1970's!

be? Is it a mid to late 50 sceme?

   WOT has also made a city transit version of the bus with the center door, in San Francisco Muni Green and Cream and National City Lines Green,Orange, White for Los Angeles and several other schemes . The Greyhound Suburban scheme is mid 1950's I have a Corgi large scale GM bus painted in these paint scheme. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake ,Utah. "Just Waiting for my SF & LA busses tocome direct from WOT".

BTW, Mill Valley is one of the nicest towns on the planet.

Neat video. I often wondered how the NWP electrification got abandoned while the LIRR on the other side of the country did not. Both were thirdrail powered with porthole end window cars, but seeing the video, and one and two car trains vs. six to twelve car trains, I can see the patronage was not there and there was very little else in common..

But seriously, where did you buy them?  Walthers still shows none in stock.  I'm particularily interested in the CTA's but also want to scratchbuild a Greyhound bus depot.  I wish that these had the dog on them but realize from your post that they weren't cross-country Greyhounds.

Thanks for the photos.  I saw the test shots last November at Trainfest but really like seeing the final painted product.

I had the same reaction though when read the note on the bus box.  On page 90 of Northwestern Pacific Railroad by Fred Codoni and Paul Trimble, there's a b/w plate showing the Greyhound buses queued next to the Mill Valley station on the last day of NWP interurban service.  Heartbreaking.

   I recieved my WOT city transit version of the Mack bus,(direct pricy order from WOT). Yes they are very nice. The San Francisco Muni scheme is execptional looking in Green, Off White (Cream) with Green accent striping. I was fortunate to make several trips as a kid (vacations) to SF and I got to see these busses which I thought were a bid more different looking then the GM's back home. This leads me to the discussion of the other paint scheme I ordered. Los Angeles City Lines. They are nicely painted in the NCL (Street Car Killer) fruit salid colors orange lower body, dk green window area ,white roof. The LA logo on the sides is nice. However NCL in mos of my researching used more GM busses then Macks,that is not to say that LA didn't have some besides GM's. I Salt Lake City we had Salt Lake City Lines another NCL operation ald all the busses were verious leingth GM models. On a 1969 train trip stop over in Decatur ,Illinois I was suprised to see that their bus company was also NCL with fruit salid GM's. Back to the models, in usuing the 3 foot rule I don't find the route sign on the front to have too much of a gap ,but I would have preferred some sort of snap out clear plastic outer cover to simulate the glass on real busses, I guess acetate could be cut and glued over,if you didn't want to change out the signs. I'am still waiting for dealers to start taking orders for the Walthers (Mini Metals) GM transit bus which will also be offered in NCL colors with and without various cities logos. I believe WOT shops to Walthers at the same time they ship to dealers so any dealer getting them direct from WOT would get there's before Walthers can ship to dealers who have ordered thru Walthers..........and it could also be that they were light on their orders and may not have enough to meet demand. I suspect it's the former.
