Ok, the CEO,COO,and CFO decided that the Grande Valley Railway (N scale division) needed a business train to show off our system to both established and prospective new customers.

First pic is of the first car started but not finished yet one of several coaches to be used in the train.



  Still needs besides paint,MTL 4 wheel passenger trucks installed,new interiour built and installed and steps at both ends.

Next up is the tail car or Observation car.This car has had the most reworking with complete new sides and a totally new back wall.This car too is in need of a new interiour which will include theater style seat in the observation section.



It will be recieving MTL 4 wheel passenger trucks but it will recieve steps at only one end.

Still to come one more coach (or more), sleepers ,baggage and a power car so any GVR loco can put the train.These cars and posibly all of the cars in the train are or will be Model Power heavyweights with scratchbuilt sides.

I had this Japanese EH-10, left over from another modeling period, just taking up room on a shelf.  A sudden inspiration caused me to think I could maybe bash a semi-convincing box cab out of them.  Actually, I'm quite pleased with the results which I can pass off as a "home-shop" built pair.  Here they are at work and on a road test with a dynamometer car in tow!

B&M did actually test a pair of EMD Boxcabs prior to buying their FT's.

Lowered, bodymounted couplers, replaced molded on piping along lower edge of flat with new brackets and wire.

My Toyota was totaled today.
And old deaf woman on her way to church ran the red light in front of me and I hit her right wheel.
The impact tore off almost the whole front of my car.Totaled.
My wife and 2 yo son were in the car,everyones OK. (thank god)

I thought I remembered reading or hearing that and, while I do not model the right area to include PTC equipment, I felt my Danville and Rigby Junction RR could have its own DTC subsidiary, especially since I like the paint scheme!  ;D

I tend to lock the house doors with me and the wife in the house on weekends . Yesterday was a rare exception because of a pre-planned Dr's appointment . So while I had clothes on we went the 12 miles or so to Ikea to pick up a 30 buckaroo piece of high end furniture to raise the paper recycle pail closer to the bottom of the paper grinder . Mostly highway driving , mostly my heart kept trying to leave me via my mouth every mile or so .

Glad to hear the most important things are ok with you and yours . That was way too close !
