Bob,
Whatever happened to them getting into N scale? I think they were supposed to do a butterdish milk car first.

???

I gave Steve a lot of info but to no avail. Now that I am doing many of his HO cars in N, Steve seems OK with it. Steve actually offered to do the decals for me. He even offered to sell my kits at shows.

I promised Jerry I would do a G22. Now that he is out of N-Scale, I'll probably do it.  ;D

Getting away from the Pennsylvania Jack thread for a second Years Ago NHD made solid resin cast Harriman roofs to fit the Rivarossi cars. I purchased a bunch of them, they were cast in black so I had no trouble usuing them on my two tone gray Portland Rose UP cars . Some of them did require a bit of filing to smooth up edges for correct fit,you had to make new window glass for the cars as that was attached to original roofs. I wish they had done airconditioning ducted roofs for the sleeper and diner, these would have been neat. Nate Goodman (Nato).

I heard them be announced, but never saw one in the flesh. Were they solid Nate? And if they were, weren't the car's awfully top-heavy?. One guy SWORE he was gonna Vac-u-form Harriman roofs....showed masters(very, very nicely done) and so on, was telling how easy it was gonna be to use them...I guess he got in with Madoff. ???

Yes the NHD Roof was released I converted 12 UP Portland Rose Rivarossi cars , have  4 extra roofs these I did not feel were cast very good but saved as spairs. No the cars are not top heavy have only a little bit of extra weight, I had to do new windows as the Rivarossi thick windows are attached to the roof, that was ok with me. NHD has not been around for years I got my roofs in I believe early 1980's.     Nate Goodman (Nato).

Um...ah.......... Bob: not to be overtly dumb but " what are those"...? Those wouldn't be n scale products you are either thinking of making or are making ?

Top one is a Oriental HO Harriman Observation car. Bottom one is a Oriental HO Harriman Baggage car. I have these in my HO brass collection. Since I am not well informed on a "Harriman Roof" as was posted, I wanted to know if this type of roof was exactly that.

IF, and a BIG IF, I get into this type of kit, it should be an easy thing as the sides and roof would be one piece over hidden bulkheads.

Probably more popular than "Harriman" roofs would be "rounded" HW roofs - many roads "rounded" the roofs off as part of the A/C conversion or as an attempt to make the HW cars blend in better with the LW cars.

Would also be nice to have some of the New Haen American Flyer type coaches.

Rapido is doing the Osgood Bradley (AF) coaches in HO so I suspect Jason will follow up in N scale.
