a major milestone has been met today - a new entertainment unit for the TV has been purchased - now i simply need to assemble it, run coax to the new location (not an easy task) and then buy an LCD TV.  this is huge!

Vizio 42' from Walmart cant go wrong. Get the Walmart Warranty, it'll add 80-100 bucks but so worth it for an additional two years of protection.

42 feet - damn ;)

i went with a 46" Sony with their Motionflow technology - i watch an obscene amount of English Premier League football.  watching the ball move fluidly through the air is important to me, so i ponied up for the technology - sorta - i got a helluva deal.

the sad part, i have to return the entertainment center - i hadn't planned on getting a 46" LCD, but there really was no choice in the end.  back to Ikracka tomorrow.

what does this mean for the Lehigh and Hudson River?  well, the layout benchwork will finally be getting started in the next 2 weeks.  i really want to have it done before the MLS season starts and that's in 3 weeks.  i can watch the games while putting down track, but it's hard to cut wood and keep an eye on the action.

Never been to the one at Ft Meade.  I'm right down the street from Andrews Air Force Base and usually just go there.  I also go to Ft Belvoir since they sometimes have even better prices on certain goods.

Considering the state income tax along with the piggyback country tax, I think John, Lee, Ed, Myself and others here pay our fair share. ;D

Besides how much do you order on the internet which you don't pay state sales tax on. :)

Well, for one, it is perfectly legal for me to do that. We must follow the law :)

me personally, very little.  i like to support the local mom and pop - and that's why i like the Lehigh and Hudson River, it was surrounded by the big guy and held on as long as it could as a family railroad.  in the end, the big guys collapsing around them was their doom.

How many state tax dollars do you piss away trolling internet forums from the office?  Shall we keep a tally this week?

(I'm guilty of this at the city level, too... but I don't make very much money!)
