Weekend update time. I have been fighting a cold, but I managed to paint some buildings and start on the Walthers refinery kit

Not much this week; I was kidnapped and made to suffer a  "Effective Negotiating" course at work for the majority of the week.....Did start a new project that involves a passenger car; MOW functionality and a caboose cupola..........more if/when it becomes more than a frame and a couple of sets of trucks ! ;)

Started my very first kitbash project and I am very happy the way it is coming along. Now I have to wait for the Walthers Rolling Mill which I am getting for parts to finish.

BTW, Walthers has almost all of their kits on sale on the Walthers site. Some real bargains to be had.

Also painted and decaled 4 Kato coalporters I got at the Big E show cheap into the CSX grey scheme.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (and a boring one at that), it was more Z scale truck and coupler photography for me.

That, and nearly daily updates on my T Gauge website.

I updated the MARRS web site (http://marrsweb.org) with a new version of the Smart-N modular standards. No more optional "extension"--we're officially an all-PowerPole group as of today. :)

More stud walls went up. Need to mud & tape one side of the basement and then the benchwork can go up. Was told I can no longer drive the Chargers at NH Police Standards & Training. Made a faux pas in my... Eh, typical week.  :-\;D

Got a couple of projects through the paint shop this weekend.  I had some ancient, and as it turns out pretty badly done silk screened decals for Reading and CNJ cabooses.  These don't look bad under the 3' away rule, but you better take off your glasses to look at these photos...


The silk screened decals are pretty old, and definitely not state of the art...  Car has been lowered, windows glazed, body mounted couplers, and weathering.


Accumate trucks and couplers, window glazing and weathering.

This one arrived in a care package from Bobcat...  Anther Alphabet Route road, so I weathered it up to add to the collection.


Now that these are out of the shop, there's some room for the next project...

My progress isn't photo worthy, but I did add an anti-climber to the pilot of my recently acquired Kato C30-7. I know there's still going to be some things wrong with it, but it'll at least look a little closer.

Not much - finished decalling a Conrail Mercury 53' container, which has sat in the box for far too long without decals on the doors. Photo's later.

I took off my glasses and now I can't find my beer....this is not going to work.  I have some Reading and CNJ dry transfers sitting around, minding their own business. I would be happy to drop them in the mail for you if you would like them. Just send me your address.
