I'm with Ed, I would like to see an X58.  I would sign up for a dozen Conrail alone.  This car was so ubiquitous during the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and even the early 2000's on just about every railroad in the US.  It is the quintessential PRR/PC/CR freight car.  If your railroad interchanged with PRR/PC/CR, then these should be represented in your fleet.  They should not be ignored.  Since the PRR owned these cars outright, they lasted for 40 years in service.  As the the leases expired on other classes of cars in the Conrail roster, they returned them to the leaser in droves.  Can you say BA50a, X71, X72, X74, X75, and H56a to name a few.  Maybe some day they will be produced.  I am hoping FVM or BLMA will do them at some point.  FVM chose a pretty specific prototype when they did the SOO LINE boxcars and BLMA with the NS Top Gons, so I am hopeful.

I certainly wouldn't call the X58 a "quintessential PRR car" as the PRR was merged into PC only a couple of years after it was designed. The X29 was the quintessential PRR boxcar.

Allow me to clarify.  When I say "quintessential", I mean the most typical example of a PRR/PC/CR painted boxcar one would see on the railroad during the late 60's to the early 2000's.  I realize the PRR was gone less than three years after the X58's were built, but these cars soldiered on for PC and CR until they reached the end of there service lives.

I'm on board for multiple X58s... I need a ton. I think boxcars would be easier to cast then hoppers for a first car. I think they may travel outside the system more then the H30s. Another idea would be a Southern waffle boxes.

That says new 47 , yet it has wee hatches of the round kind . Did it come with those hatches or was it re-hatched ?

I would be up for the modern Trinity reefer, the X58, or the Carbon Black car.

Now, me, a tankcar nut, would go for a modern "hotdog" tankcar,a molten sulfer tankcar, and a modern 30,000+ gallon LPG tankcar, and LOTS of them. I'm tired of making silk purses of the sow's ear old Con-Cor tooling and slicing and dicing the 50' old MDC "modern" tankcars(and the tank is still too high in the end frames). I timed myself on some Con-Cor's. About 5 hours work and adding GMM photo-etch and bending new grabs and fixing those &*#@% bolster pins and then they're "OK" from 2 feet. The MT and Atlas tankers blow them away out of the box. I know tankcars don't lend themselves too well to resin casting, however. I remember the guy who tried some years ago, and just had too many rejects to make it happen.

I too would support an X58, but it would not surprise me if FVM is already working on one.  Their SOO boxcars are fabulous.

I agree a box would easier out of the gate.

The waffle box is also a good one to do.

Even though I offered a different box, I would be on board for 4 or 5 X58's...more if the quality was as described (RYM).

The "A-Hole" has degenerated to about 6 posters, 12 "posers", and a lot of "wanna-be" "geniuses". I go play Photo-Phun over there, although the posts are getting much thinner and mostly reposts from other places, and read some of the BS the "experts" tell newbies, shake my head and move on. It's like a "Silver Photography" forum I'm on. One guy has appointed himself the "be-all, end-all" guru, telling people stuff based on opinions rather than lab-repeatable experiments. I've seen this guys work at exhibitions and galleries and 90% of it's crap technically, while much smarter people are ignored.
