How did "Santa" treat y'all?

Did y'all get what you wanted?? None of the railroad stuff I'd ordered in hopes of arriving by Christmas arrived... The Postal Service evidently lost the Bar Mills Idaho Hotel I bought from Vandy Huskey (Ilitig8) on eBay, shipped Priority Mail on 12/03 and not here yet.  The IMRC boxcar I ordered through Chuck in August 2007 still hasn't been shipped - it's now scheduled for January (2009?).

But, everybody's healthy and there's a prime rib in the oven for Christmas dinner, so I really can't complain.

Santa and my wife were awesome this year.  Besides a number of awesome non-train things like a NY Islanders jersey (I know, they suck this year) and Guitar Hero for Wii, I got the 10-car Kato Broadway Limited and it's so hot I want to make love to it.

My folks also got me Conrail Color Guide to Freight Equipment 1976-1987.

The best part was enjoying watching my two sons get everything they'd asked for.  Christmas is so much more enjoyable with children.  That is, until they get present overload and need some time out!

My wife got Santa to bring me 3 Atlas BWH32-8 in the new Amcrash scheme. But Like Dave said, the best part was watching my girls open there presents.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Did y'all get what you wanted??

I got to run the snow blower for 2 hours today. We're getting snowed in at Park City,UT at my sister-in-law's house. Too bad I left my skis back home.

Hope everyone enjoys their holiday in good health and spirits.

Lots of blue under my tree.

A pair of 15-1s and a pair of, gasp... LL GP38-2s.

I guess it's time to write that article on "making them right" now!

The whole Broadway limited set. I'll be running them on Saturday as soon as I get back from NS country.

A wonderful Christmas for the entire family - the Morning Sun NYC Through Passenger book I got is a nifty edition to the library - great copies of both railfan and publicity photo's (some risque 1950's shots - skin baby or what) and some very useful information.

And; while not technically a Christmas gift; UP 1950's (Richie, you cad) got me thinking (that just don't happen often) and I have the next passenger project well underway and it's his fault..... more later.

In reality I did get what I wanted for Christmas - one of my employees son's has been very, very sick; he recently underwent a "last chance" stem cell and marrow transplant at Cincinati's Childern's Hospital - the prognosis was not good..... but "yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"; he is starting to show signs of recovery - small; slim but we'll take em..... news like that makes every thing else pale in insignifigance............. I got a great present.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The best things were a PS515, Trackside Eastern Ohio and Halsey's Typhoon. Great Christmas but no snow  :(

Ditto. Got a train calendar--that's about as "risky" as anyone will get. Fine by me!

You could say Santa had something to do with the 2,500 pounds of product coming on the seas right now...

... but you'd be dead wrong.   ;)

Aerotrain basic set, a 300mm lens for my train photos, a Dremel kit that has cutting tool attachments.  Not bad at all.  Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas this year.
