Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

the sad thing is not only dose this guy really think that it is worth that, but their is some idiot somewhere that will pay that price for it.
this is the reason why the prices on e-bay are so rediclous sometimes.

Wonder if they have actually sold anything or if they just like wasting money on the fees... ???

Sad? Assuming someone does buy at that price then it is a transaction between a willing seller and a willing buyer. That this hypothetical buyer puts a higher value on the item than you would does not make them an idiot.

Do you understand how an auction works?

What's even sadder are Ebay's final value fees!

You got that right. A few years back I was always buying/selling "N" scale stuff.

I could add a little to my pike, usually make a couple bucks, and have some fun. Now, it seems like it's "all fees" and a guy has to get top dollar on all his auctions.

Hard to do with a slow economy.  I've pretty much stopped stopped selling, and buying.
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.

I've just said no. Too much trouble, too many fees, too little reality.

Just got back from a Model RR show and that same car was in a junk bin for 5 bucks.
