Durring this time of celibration, Please remember our troops abroad. As a Solder, and being married to a deployed solder, I can say it is comforting to know that someone somewhere is wishing you good cheer, and a safe return.

I hear you! I'm an active duty Air Force officer and my wife is a Reservist; she deploys the first week in January. We're very happy to be together for Christmas (we also have two young boys), but are all too well aware of the sacrifices of the service. I missed all of my firstborn's firsts due to service in Iraq.

We were luck enough for my wife to be able to come home for thanksgiving before her deployment, but it was only a few days after that she was wheels up. She is a nurse for the Army, I was a firefighter when I was active duty, I am a "Trainer" now. Our daughter is 2 now, so she won't miss too much, and my wife is PROFOS, so she is going to be gone for about 190 days (In country).
