Who Sold me the Kato SP SD70M's????

Hi everyone, I've been away for a while. Lots of things going on, but winter is here again, and I've got some time for the RR.

When Kato first released the SP SD70M, my local shop was going to get "shorted", so somebody on this board (with a shop) sold me one or two of these. My memory has "faded", and I don't even know where the receipt is.

Anyways, it was a great experience, fun transaction, and I would like to know who it was?

Why??  Well, another LHS is biting the dust early next year, and it's the shop who has served me well for 15+ years. I need a new source for my "N" locos and rolling stock.

Appreciate if anyone's memory is better than mine.

Thanks, and everyone here have a good Christmas and New Years Holiday.

I believe Chuck @ Feather River and Fifer Hobbies are the only "shop" members here ..

Can't go wrong shopping with Chulvis....if he doesn't have it, you don't want it!

asarge works at Trainmaster Hobbies in Duluth, GA. An excellent shop, BTW, I always stop by there whenever I visit Atlanta.

Difficult
is having Trainmaster as a local (less than 5 miles) shop and Feather River as my distant shop.  Really hard to balance that kind of dysfunctional relationship...

J&L Hobby and Trains outside of KC will be closing. He's "ramping down" and will have the building up for sale the first of the year.

Depending on what happens with that, John will either shut it down if it sells, or close mid year if it doesn't.

He always had good inventory, good pricing, and a good time. John's pushing 70 and he's ready to just retire for good.

A lot of us around here will miss him.
