OK,

I'm up to something and I would like to know what, of all the Modern Tankcars from any manf, is the most prevalent MODERN Tankcar found in your inventory and/or on your rails?

The most modern tank car I have is the Atlas 11k. I'm sure you didn't have that one in mind. There will be a new one coming before long.

Atlas Trinity corn syrup cars, but I wish there were larger sizes of the funnel flow cars available.

I model transition era, so I don't have any modern tank cars.  From the posts I've seen on various forums, I think most modelers are asking for a modern propane tank car.

The Atlas 22K tank(just barely), but I'd kill for "hot dog" tankers and modern sulfur and LPG tankers. I'm a tankcar NUT. Trinity used to build them down the street from me(all my life nearly) and Tulsa used to be the "Oil Capital of the World" with two refineries and I worked for Cities Service Oil and Gas for 14 years, so tankcars are my favorite cars. Even though we don't see 100 car trains of all tankcars anymore thru town, at one time we did, two or three times a day. The MT modern tank is popular with me too, with many being (gasp!) re-painted black and re-lettered GATX and UTLX. I should qualify my answer a bit. I have more of the 50' MDC tankcars than anything, most of them "improved" with wire end-rails and man-guards between the wheels, but they aren't a prototype of anything, and are "N-TRAK stand-in" cars. From 3' it's hard to tell they're too short, lack much detail underneath and many other problems. The 35-odd of them could turn into 24 or so more "accurate" cars, if I had a better car available.
