Regret
is still high because I simply recycled my California one car garage layout in that huge Tennesse basement and didn't build someting to really fit and make proper use of the space.  Dissatisfaction set in quickly because there was nothing new and it was insignifigant like a teardrop in the ocean of the basement space.  I sort of drifted until tearing it down became the only option because it was never going to fit here in the space I have now in Georgia and I had ignored it far too long.  A design for that basement would not have fit this new space either, but I could have avoided a five year plus layoff...

If you haven't gotten the January MR, you might want to pick one up.  The Beer Line series is starting, and it's another feather in David Popp's cap.  He's using a sectional design with modular plan elements that allows the sections to be configured several different ways.  In its most basic form it's a big oval, but the modular plan allows it to be "unfolded" a couple of different ways.

This is something I've toyed with over the years, but never had a practical application to carry it forward.  Popp does a great job of developing this idea.  Truly a man for all seasons...
