The FVM MILW ribsides look great. Now I can finally get my retaining wall underway

That's different. I've seen a pair of twin hoppers turned into a loading ramp, and flatcars into bridges, and I think I remember a photo of an old UTLX tank car turned into a culvert in an old magazine, but I haven't seen old car sides used as a retaining wall before!

Relax, first three samples... not production models.  The reason samples are shipped out is so that the manufacturer can comment on items like that that need to be addressed before final production.

Hey, it was the MILW. Probably alot of examples of this type of recycling along their RofW. Would be a shame to carve up those nice new FVM cars for this type of use, though...

The horizontal ribs on the car sides increased the rigidity . A unique advantage .
