If that's the new car being announced tomorrow, then I doubt anybody will yet. I will tomorrow if Matt has one out.

Not one but 3 different versions of the 40 foot rib side cars. They are at TrainFest. Sorry I don't have any photos but I saw them and they look fantastic!

Oh wow, I hope this is not just a rumor! I really want some of these. You see them all over the place in steam/transition era photos. I predict the market will do well with these.

At one time, Puget Summit Models made a kit for one of these, and a 50 footer too. But, you had to add some parts yourself, like brakes and ladders! here's a 40 footer:

Look forward to adding another car or two.

They aren't showing the 3rd semi rib single door one , my guess that was by accident the 1st and 2nd shots are on the same car . Will Marty be glad or sad ? These are a must have for me . Wish somebody would do the PRR / B&O wagon top 40' box cars in plastic .

Two hours ago (8:30 AM 11/8) they hadn't posted the announcement yet. I checked. Now it's there, and I'm a happy camper. Thanks, Bob!

P.S. jNj Trains has 40' and 50' kits available. I have a 50 footer and decals for it, but I need proto photos and the proper paint color before I can continue.

I was at the Boeing Employees Swap Meet in Kent, WA today and held a sample of the 40' double door ribside.  It was sent to someone I know...to go un-named who is in the railroad magazine publishing industry and is a Milwaukee Road expert.   The car was very, very nice.

This is just great. I would have been happy with one car...to get three different models is amazing. I also like the looks of the ride height. This is a must for these older cars. I am in for 15 to 25 of these cars and would be happy to buy 2 or 3 of the FVM Milw Road brass transfer caboose if/when those come out. Now all we need is a FM H10-44 and/or H12-44 to pull these things.

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
