Hi all
Just added some trusses to my web site  they are all 4/12 slope and come in 40, 50, 60, and 80 foot spans in both N and Z scale.
 they are cut form 1/64th inch thick laser board a new product that cuts like hard paper bu is stronger the then wood. It takes paint and stain well and they say does not warp.
Also have scribed siding with nail holes already in place in 1/32 and 1/16th  inch stock

It's a polyester impregnated  Kraft liner paper. Being Impregnated water does not effect it. Has a tensile strength of 12,000psi, can be ripped but I have cut wood rafters for a kit that broke  just butting them in place were the laser board ones did not and went in much better . It also has a constant thickness the wood plywood.

Hi Rich, what is this polyester impregnated Kraft liner paper called? Is it designed for laser engraving or a packaging product? Does it take Floquil solvent based paints? What thicknesses is it available in? Where can I get some? I want to try some for my bay window caboose.

  It's called Laser board and was designed for laser cutting, it is hard on hobby knifes that's for sure but does cut clean. Northeastern scale lumber  has it but it's a Manufacturer only idem. It does take paint well.
 As for the product it is 1/64 Th inch thick or .015 and comes in 12 x 24 inch sheets if you'd like some I stock it for my kits and have 20 sheets in stock as of today and ordering more next week.  If you want some drop me a email at sales@rslaserkits.com. I like it and since it came out in June have used it for all my windows and doors plus for overlays for board and Bat siding.  If you look on my site the Z scale Zelda's bed and breakfast is cut totally out of laser board. Will be doing more Z kits with it soon.
