I haven't seem any other pics of the unit other than the ones that Bachmann released, and looking at those photos, they are predominently side view. One thing I notice is the windows on the sides are to narrow in relation to scale of the model.Any other pics online besides the B-mann released ones?Joe.
Where would you look to see when it is to come in?
Yeah, it'll pull 80 auto-racks with B-mann wheelsets up a 5% grade at a scale 2.5MPH. : I think B-mann can get the speed under control. Most of their deisels run the slowest of any brand out there. Hood's over-wide? Probably for weight and motor. If it'll handle 5 40' MT boxcars on the straight and level, I'd say it's a sucess. Can many of us remember Lima/Atlas engines that wouldn't do that? Let's see one run before we pass judgement on it. This ain't the "A" board, is it? :-[
Not sure about the hoods, but looking at the windows, they could've done better in my opinion..
QuoteNot sure about the hoods, but looking at the windows, they could've done better in my opinion..Remember, this is a pre production model we are commenting on. The final model may have a different appearance. I agree that Bachmann has a spotty record. Nonetheless, I have pre-ordered one. Can always return it if unsatisfactory, and use the money on something else. Frank
FWIW, I received an email from Bachmann last week indicating the 44T will be sometime in 2009.
They'll be priced in chickens and goats.
