What about Lionel during the Depression?  I thought that they did rather well.

I don't think they look all that convincing, really....  Just something about it.  I think I'd expect to see a good coat of grime on a car with those kinds of rust streaks.

Exactly, or a drastic change (i.e., faded) in the silver paint and lettering.

They definitely need a copy of your book.

If they sell, it's a wonderful decision on MT's part. I bet they'll sell. Several investment banks and insurance companies and mortgage lenders could take lessons from MT's marketing people, couldn't they? If you don't care for them, don't buy 'em. MT won't make more if they don't sell. Somebody buys "Hershey's" and "Happy Birthday" and "State" and "Battleship Row" cars, cabooses and engines. Put a 10 power magnifier on the new MT President's car portrait. You can't see "pixels" or dots. Am I buying the "Presidential" series? Nope. Didn't buy the state cars. I buy what I want. Let other's do the same.

Well, I do know that the dealers bought up all MTL had available the same day they announced them. Will be interesting to see how long they last on the shelves.

Hi Chuck! It's Ricky from Challenger! Trying to figure out what people will and won't buy was causing me problems...but enough Valium and some Pepcids have relieved my symptoms. 8)Combination works well on figuring out Kato's US market stratagy, too. Same combination seems to help when I listen to the "news" too, or look at my IRA account. :'( Just like DuPont used to say:"Better living thru chemistry". ;D

We still have 3 of the president series left on the shelves, so that means we sold 3. Sales are slow, people are starting to have serious problems finding gas in some parts of Atlanta without waiting in line for awhile.
