Horizon / "Arrow" commuter cabcar ends info needed

I am looking to see if anyone has diagrams or drawings of the ends of commuter cab cars.....mostly I'm looking for the "Horizon" style used by CTDOT, MBTA, MNorth, etc.

example;
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1047995

I know the cars are 10.5' wide and 9.75' tall. However I really am in need of measurements of the curve for the roof and the corner radius for a 1:1.5 project.

I have a Walthers car to take measurements from, but if anyone has diagrams or drawings it would be so much easier and very appreciated.

Ian,

If you know the width and height you can just crop and resize that photo you posted. Then import it into CAD (raster image) and trace right over it. Once you get an exact match to the photo just check the properties of the arches you drew.

In 1:1 scale:

I get about a 115.85" radius for the center section and 27.48" R for the ends.

Well that saves alot of work....Sometimes just importing schtuff into AutoCAD is totally forgotten in my thought process! ;D

I've decided to go with the 1600 series cab cars....only one radius to figure out when cutting the steel! Still the same corner radius.

Cut out the plywood templates last week, and the A car is torn down, photos to come.
