Looking for a smokestack.

First, I was looking for a Detail Associates Part #2023, but no one has in stock. Now, I'm looking for someone with part of a plastic boiler shell that's been cut up for other parts but still has the stack on the smokebox.

I plan to put the old Bachmann 2-8-0 Reading boiler shell on the Spectrum 2-8-0, but the stack doesn't line up. So....I plan to remove the old stack, file and fill, and attach a new stack a little further back. It will still be on the smokebox area.

If you've got a piece of a shell with a suitable smokestack on it, PM me and see if we can't agree on a price. It should look something like this:

I have a Kato mike stack and a old Atlas 0-8-0 stack. Will either of those work?

The Kato Mike stack will. I have a donor Atlas 0-8-0 shell, the stack is too short. Those IHB 0-8-0's were big boilered suckers.  ;D ;D

Gregg,

I've got the front end of the Bachmann shell if that's what you need.

Thanks. That would probably work, too. Wait 'til I hear back from Chris.

A thousand thanks, Chris, the whole smokebox showed up today. May be able to use it, not just the stack, we'll see. The tender is perfect for the Reading I10sa.

Been working on a Con-Cor (Piko) powerhouse for Motisa Machine Works, but it is too damp today to spray Dullcote since Fay is hanging around - no hard rain or wind here yet.
