Yes,, A very good job done. I even learned something..... now I know what the shelf is for on the MT coupler gauge,, I never knew that.

You would not believe how hard that is to get right.  Trust me, I try hard with every episode, and when I edit it I'm convinced I have it right; but when I watch it back on the web for the first time I always find areas that need improvement.

I will get it right, eventually.

oh, also, it's a covered gondola you fixed, not a covered hopper (I bet you knew that...) and I'm pretty sure that arch bar trucks were not in wide use on new equipment in 1930...  I'm not sure when they were banned from interchange service, but I would think that Bettendorfs would be fine on a steel car of that vintage...

I realized in editing that a Bettendorf would probably have been a better choice.

I wish someone would really make a user friendly web page about these with basic guidelines.  I know there are a lot of road to road differences, but there are some really good rules of thumb and I'm not up on all of them.

Truthfully though, unless I'm holding an individual truck in my hand I'm hard pressed to tell any difference; even friction vrs roller bearing is hard to tell from four feet....
