Someone must have noticed the mistake in pricing. The Challengers(first run) had some operational issues,my 3 have been OK. Big Boys are supposed to be imprived, I know the sound is slightly louder or is turned up as they come from the factory. One of my two Big Boys threw off a Rod like the old Rivarossi Steamers use to do. See an old post here at the Wire about this. With the help of friend and fellow modeler Bob Gilmore we put it back together ok, but in running forward it appears to bind, goes great in reverse (convert it to a Cab Forward). It is curreutly in pieces on Bobs' bench he reports all the gears etc look great no flaws like on old Rivarossi locos. I would have sent it back to Athearn under the Warantee, but we have already shortened the drawbar between engine and tender to a closer distance. My other Big Boy ran Flawlessly for several hours at the Roundhouse Festival in Evanston, Wyoming three weeks ago so go figure. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.
