A quick BLMA TopGon preview... TEST SHOT PICS!

Hey craig,
   Since blma is doing the topgons, for your next frieght car could use consider looking into PR, PC and CR ore jennies since they didnt hit the nscale market yet. Just an idea

While we're open to any freight car idea, it is imperative that our product line be mixed, covering numerous modeling tastes and not just catering to a single group.  That said, I can tell you that the second car is NOT an 'Eastern Only' car, and it is nothing like the TopGon.  If the TopGon proves to be a success, we'll definitely consider additional cars (like the ones you've mentioned above) for future production.

I ordered the batch for our LHS weekend before last. I was worried about pricing for the car but at todays costs the N scale version is quite reasonable foir what will be a nicely detailed car as well as a runner.

In N scale the Atlas Ore Cars do pretty well, but then we don't order in huge amounts. In HO the MDC's, Athean ex-MDC's and the Stewarts do not sell all that well.

Might I suggest the Conrail Coilshield? I doubt I'll ever see it as it's a CR specific car and the mold costs probably would never be recovered. Nice to dream though.....

I'll admit that I am very impressed with the pricing of this car.  The expectations set by earlier comments suggested that these cars were gonna be top of the line in both quality AND price, but certainly that is not the case.  I predict they will sell VERY well at this price point.   

I only wish they were cars I could use.  Maybe the next one. (please let it be a carbon black car!!!)

Odd ... PCM told me I was the only one that reserved them ...

They lied.  Ordered 3 sets.  Two N&W and one PRR.  You would think these would have been easy for them to accomplish. 

And I ordered all 8 N&W sets, plus 2 sets of PRR.

Too bad Craig is making all of this modern stuff; for me that is.

Those look excellent!  My dealer already has my order for 24!  I never thought I'd see these in large numbers in any scale, and at an affordable price.  I'm sure 24 won't be all I end up with, but that's my limit for now.

I'm rather impressed by the detail being offered in both the model and the paint (in terms of the logo and all) and am surprised by the price. Atlas wants more for their centerflows and Huberts for simple boxcars and gons.
